Today we had quite a feast without much money, Davanni pizza is offering a personal pizza for 3 food shelf items and Arby's has their classic roast beef on sale for $.64 today only. We got 4 pizza's, 4 roast beef and White Castle had bogo on their shaker parfaits, when we got there the shake machine had not been turned on yet so we waited a few minutes and the manager came to the window to give 2 large fries while we wait for the machine to get ready, after another "irratating 7-8 minutes" the manager apologized for the wait and gave us 2 extra shakes.
So, today we got 4 personal pizzas, 4 large roast beef, 4 oreo parfait shakes and 2 large fries for the grand total of $5.23, not too bad when the regular price would have been $49.02.
We also helped out the food shelf.
Guess what's for dinner?...repeat the 4 pizza and 4 roast beef, for a total of $2.74.
I am signed up (for free) at many sites for birthday clubs. Last year was the first year and I ate for a week for almost nothing (many places gives you days or a couple weeks to use the coupon; a few are valid only on your birthday).
I got a free burger (with fries) at both Red Robin and Ruby Tuesday; free ice cream at Baskin Robbins and several other items.
I don't know many states join Ohio in this charade, but if you order your fast food 'to go', they don't charge any sales tax on the food. If you dine in, you get dinged for the sales tax, though. Consequently I always order my food to go, even if I intend on dining in. Those pennies have added up, I'm sure.

Fast food has a great value per calorie due to corn subsidies but value per nutritional content is very low. Remember you can pay the farmer now or pay the doctor later.
I know you feel like you got a deal but really? Do you really think so? It's like making a deal with the devil. Eat it now and get Type 2 diabetis down the road. to me, it's so not worth it.
Really? Fast food eaters get a pubic hair each month?
