I am looking for a gym in Frederick. I'm hoping to find one that has a good place for kids to be dropped off while you work out. I checked out the Y. It seems OK, but I don't want to just jump into joining it, if there are more options for a gym in the area that families use.
Thanks!

The Y is supposingly fantastic for that sort of thing. I can't say anything about the others in the area. I know there is a Golds Gym and one on jefferson St and one on 40

Default Gold's

I've been a member of Gold's Gym for a couple of years. They recently moved to a new building - gorgeous!! It has everything and they are even expanding. Great childcare area with so much space and things for the kids to do. Very secure and safe, too. I used to belong to Fitness First but found the childcare lacking and I feel like Gold's has more to offer overall. The Y is great, too but more money. You also get the benefits of the pools at the Y though if that's what you're looking for. If you are going to live in the city of Frederick the William Taney Rec Center downtown might be a good choice, but I do not know much more about it.

My husband and I enjoyed working out at the Frederick Athletic Club when we lived in the area. It is clean, has new machines, great classes and my 3 children always did well in the childcare. Hope this helps!
