I spoke in-depth on my experiences over in the "Racism in Middletown" thread, but to sum it up: Middletown is an objectively nice place to live, with little poverty/crime and decent schools. However, from one Asian to another, it's rather unlikely that your kids won't experience racism in some form or another throughout their K-12 education. It's the fact of the matter as a member of a small minority in a nearly homogeneous community. It won't be constant torment like maybe you'd find in poorer, more rural areas, but don't expect MoCo levels of diversity. You know what you're getting yourself (and your kids) into.
