Does anyone have any insight into this high school? What's the area like? What are the students like? Any information about this school and the general area would be greatly appreciated.

That is the hs our kids feed into--they are currently in a private school. It is in a very middle class area of Fort Worth (Benbrook). From what I understand it's a decent "redneck" high school.

right now that is kind of a changing demographic--
there are more than half Anglo and the rest split mainly between African Am and hispanics with more hispanics than AA--the hispanic segment has been growing over the past 5 or so years...

there are about 27% of students who qualify for free lunch--from my experience that means there are probably more who are eligible but can't or won't apply for variety of reasons

there was one senior last year who was finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition--the main # of finalists and semi-finalists come from Paschal HS

the 11th grade TAKS scores show it does about 10% points better than avg of FTW ISD hs --close to the TX avg scores...
