Probably more than a circle, I'd draw an octopus--with W. 7th being a leg, Magnolia another... some of the legs aren't even attached!

It's all coming along, at least.

Couldn't say that in the 90s.

Definitely. Progress gives hope. There's plenty to be optimistic about here in FW.

Left Bank (UPDATE)

FWBP Article

Some major points from West Miller's meeting with the Cultural District Alliance last night:

- “We have about 60% of our project ready to go"
- A national grocery chain built in an urban format.
- "close to an agreement with the city" on incentives.
- 150-room hotel to be built over a garage, looking over the levees, with a view of downtown.
- Whole Foods and Niemen Marcus confirmed.

Good to hear.

One important point, though: the articles states that Whole Foods and NM are NOT solidified:

"Additionally, Centergy didn't reach agreements with Neiman Marcus and Whole Foods, two major anchor targets, Miller confirmed earlier this year."

I wonder who the national grocery chain would be, if not WF. That area is in deep need of a decent grocer.

Boy, I misread the hell out of that...

I've been following this project for a couple years now and those were the two big names that many associated with it recently. I feel like it's going to be one of those things where we all know it's going to happen but the guys in suits wont confirm until later on, and it will be exactly what we thought.

... you know, I wouldn't have a problem with an HEB.

I've been saying that we need more HEB's in North Texas. It would be a good second choice behind WF.

Yeah, actually HEB would be great. It just 'feels' like a perfect spot for WF, but I bet there's plenty of folks DT and nearby that would rather have something more affordable like HEB.
