We are considering a move to the area and wondering about the quality of the schools, particularly the high schools in the area. Our kids will be a freshman and a junior next year. We are looking for good schools in an area that has single family housing in the 250-350K range. We will be working in the North Naples area so we are looking more in the southern portion of Lee County. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Welcome!

We did the same (not high school, but just good schools after leaving Miami).

We love Bonita Springs! We spend a lot of our time in North Naples without the prices.

The new bonita high school is excellent and lee county is schools choice. so you could live in bonita or estero and opt for that school.

$350k will get you a SFH right now (no pool) in probably a non-gated neighborhood. You could get a 'coach home' with maybe a 1 car garage for that price too in a gated golf community, but you'll have higher fees.

If you need details about Bonita, send me a direct message. I can tell you our favorite areas, restaurants, beach spots, etc.

Good luck in your move!

I believe Lee County is still doing School Choice... you might want to do some research on that first.

I would never count on the possibility of school choice over living in the assigned school district area, especially with the high numbers of people moving to the state on a daily basis. I think they are rezoning elementary schools in Lee County soon. The other grades will most likely have to follow as schools fill up. Kids will start to get bumped from the preferred schools and be placed in other schools closer to where they live. Happened in Manatee County not too long ago and will happen in Collier eventually I would assume. High numbers of people buying outside assigned district and relying on school choice to get kids into better schools results in crowded desirable schools that will be the first to bump kids.
