Our place is on well and septic. It's a rental and we are not in the area. We've used this forum a lot and have found you all to be really helpful.

We have a property management company that we think is good, and they are really keen on the water company they use. We also think they are OK/good but really have no way of knowing.

We've had multiple issues over a couple years with the water system, but it was always little things that broke and no indication of anything systematic or major. Now we suddenly have an urgent work order and problem with the system.

I thought I should check on here if anyone can give non-commercial (unbiased by financial interests) advice on a water purification company you trust. It occurs to me as I type this to ask, is a water purification company supposed to be fixing valves and pressure and things like that on a water system? shouldn't that be a plumber?

Anyway, if you can give advice on a recommended company to look after well water/softener, etc, that would be great. And if you can do that, and also want to know the company's name we are with, we can PM if PM is available on here.

Thanks so much and apologies if this post is disjointed

Some one may correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that most water treatment contractors are fairly well versed in the operation and mechanics of the "softening" systems, and are likely well qualified to work on them. Once you get inside the walls, there is probably a different story.

With the over abundance of rain this season, there seems to be a spike in problems with water and well systems, and septic systems also. The water table is picking up plenty of additional contaminants from the excess of fresh rain water leaching thru the surface, and some septic fields are also becoming overwhelmed by the higher moisture saturation around the fields.

YC.......
