Well, this has to be one of the most bizarre parks in the US -- anyone been there? In Estero, Fl --

It was definitely founded on a bizarre premise that's for sure. However, it now just a state park with some interesting historical buildings. It's quite pretty and the estuary goes right out to the gulf.

The gators were a bit aggressive last time I was there, though, thanks to visitors feeding them. They've probably taken care of that.

I've been so many times for family get-togethers. A really nice place.

It looks awesome! Bonus points for it's history as a cult -- I love odd history!

I live 2 miles from it, never been there. They have car shows, antique shows during snowbird season.

No, they weren't Hari Krishnas, but the leader told everyone that he was immortal, but then he croaked, and that was the beginning of the end of the movement. Major buzzkill...
