I do realize it is too late now to back out, however I would appreciate any opinions on whether or not I have made a wise or horrible decision. I close tmrw morning on a 3/2 condo in the Landing Yacht Golf Tennis Club. Off Mcgregor Blvd in Ft Myers. I did alot of research prior to doing the deal, I believe I got it at an excellent price, it has all the amenities I could want, and seems very well kept. But you just never really know.
Anyone familiar with the Landings?

It is a nice neighborhood but I think the condo/association fees in the landings are pretty high.

I haven't been there in a couple of years, but I never heard anything negative about The Landings. I don't know why you are posting this now. Buyer's remorse? If "it's too late," anything people on City-Data tell you is futile at this point.

I just realized today is 7/15, so you are closing today and want information about the property? Never mind.

I wish you a lot of luck. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Relax...you're good.We also looked into the landings before we bought in CC and that would have been our choice if we'd gone with a condo.
It's clean, safe well managed with not too many forclosure problems.Resale value should be good considering you bought at the low end.
So make yourself a nice cocktail tonight and say hello to your neighbors as you watch the sunset.

We looked at this development and like #2 said the monthly fees are high. We looked at several properties there and they needed a lot of work to update them. Basically we found the place a little depressing and although it has a lot recreation wise I am not sure we would have been social enough to make use of them.
If you have second thoughts, even at this stage of the game, I would take time out to think about it more. Phone your agent and explain that you cannot close today due to ............. and say that you will contact him again as soon as you are ..........
I always believe that if that little crick in your neck occurs before making a major decission like this then you should take notice.

Here is a link to the community of The Landings Yacht, Golf, and Tennis Club if anyone is intersted in reading more about it.

Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club, Inc. - The Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club

250 acres - sounds like a pretty big community to me
18 hole golf course
13 tennis courts
swimming pool
lakes with fish
landscaped paths
private harbor and marina
12 condo associations
2 homeowner associations

You just handed out advice that could have legal ramifications.

Closing is done. Thank you for your opinions, I was just interested in what others thought of The Landings. I am not suffering from buyers remorse

I hope you are happy there. By the way there is a great Polish deli across the road and their fresh and dried sausages from the meat counter are excellent. Also around the corner is a bakery that makes super bagels. Good luck.
