Hello,

My question is pretty much how the title reads.. would you rather live in a condo on/within a few blocks of the central beach area.. or the galt mile area?

I recently visited Fort Lauderdale and while I was originally looking to live off las olas/downtown.. I found the vibe around central beach with all the bars and restaurants more to my liking. I did NOT visit the galt mile. How does it differ from central beach? Is Galt much more convenient and satisfactory from a residential standpoint? Does Galt have any bars and restaurants? Any means of transportation to take me from galt to central beach and back for bars at night (seems too far to walk)? Should I say screw it and live right in the action of central beach?!

grrr please advice

Thanks!

ps. im renting not buying yet, so value of investment is irrelevant

My 2 cents worth.....

Galt is more retirees. Hardly any bars or nightlife... Very quite area

As you stated, you like the bars, restaurants etc..... I would do central

I am partial to Galt may be because i lived there for a year and enjoyed it a lot... but then again, i m not much into the every night bar scene... You can't go wrong with either of them in the long run and since you like central, I would go with that.
