Willing to travel anywhere between West Palm Beach to Miami.

Thanks!

There are other ones that are very good.

You would be surprised, but Thai Spice in Fort Lauderdale serves very good stone crabs

Also Truckuck's is excellent

Joe's prices stone crab based on their reputation. Skip Joes.

Stone crab is stone crab is stone crab. The taste is identical.

Stone crab is caught, claw is plucked, crab thrown back, claw is immediately cooked, frozen, then sold.

Montys in South Beach has them on happy hour and Trulucks has them all you can eat one night of the week, can't remember which.

Lastly, go to Publix, Fresh Market, or Whole Foods and get them to go and have a picnic.

Mondays. All you can eat claws at Truluck's. A great place!

My wife loves stone crabs and she has had them at two restaurants in east Broward -- Old Florida Seafood House in Wilton Manors and Catfish Dewey's in Fort Lauderdale.

Neither is big on atmosphere, if that is a consideration. Old Florida Seafood House is in a typical South Florida strip mall and the decor is out of style by at least 25 years. Catfish Dewey's has a lot of down-home charm and friendliness but is nondescript otherwise and situated in a sketchy area. But my wife says the stone crabs are fine at both. Catfish Dewey's offers all-you-can-eat every night throughout the stone crab season, as I recall.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations and tips! Decor and atmosphere don't matter to me. Most of the places I eat here in San Francisco are hole in the wall looking joints. I'm going on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, but book a hotel one night before the cruise and one night after the cruise.

I'm leaning toward either Joes Stone Crab or Catfish Dewey's (because of their all you can eat claws). Hmmm tough decision, maybe I'll do both, one before the cruise and one after the cruise. Thanks for your answers!
