Hello - first and foremost, this is an excellent forum (have been browsing & reading posts avidly). Husband and I will be visiting Fort Lauderdale next month and will be looking at properties for future purchase. We are early 50's, and have 4 young adult children who will visit us occasionally. We don't want a car (do enough driving at home with work)
If you could help narrow down a couple of areas that would make for a good Real Estate investment, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

The only place I can think of in Broward county that would fit your needs would be Las Olas.

Hello there. I am moving from the Pacific NW to FL. I am moving to Lauderdale by the Sea.. Check it out. It took me a while to narrow my search down, but it's small, quiet, u won't need a car much, or at all... cute little place... IMO... Good luck with your search.

Galt Ocean Mile is nice and has a lot within walking distance. Downtown and Las Olas is 10 min cab ride

Like the above posters have indicated, I think Galt Ocean in Fort Lauderdale and Lauderdale by the Sea are great areas. Look at zip code 33308.
