What about Fort Collins? I'm looking for a good place to live a well-rounded life to raise a family. Thoughts?

Voted one of the best places to live by Money magazine more than once, among other awards. Quality of life: City of Fort Collins (http://www.fcgov.com/business/qol.php - broken link)

Great schools and activities for kids.
Welcome to Poudre Schools!
Recreator: City of Fort Collins

When neighborhoods are built, parks are built, so plenty of places to play.

I have lived on Fort Collins over 30 years, growing up here, moving away for 7 years, and returning when I had kids, specifically to raise them here. Would not change a thing. I have recently run into numerous high school classmates who have moved back to Fort Collins in recent years to raise their kids, as well.

Cost of living is not the lowest, and housing is not cheap. You may be competing with college students and recent grads for jobs. Some long time locals complain about the traffic, but most of the time you can get anywhere in town in 20 minutes, or so.

There are some cultural opportunities and the University adds to things to do. Racially, the town is not very diverse, but is pretty accepting of everyone.

Feel free to direct message me if you have more specific questions.
Have a great day.
