I visited Fort Collins last October and don't remember seeing any over 55 communities. Did I miss them? I am thinking of retiring there but I don't know where the old active people hang out?

Hee Hee. Where does that number come from, pray tell? :-)

I'd guess that the number might be more like 20-30. No research behind that, just a rough approximation...

There are a handful of over 55 communities in Fort Collins and several more options in nearby Loveland. Some have more amenities than others and the prices vary. Communities range from mobile home parks to luxury living. Most of the properties in these neighborhoods are sold through the resale market via Realtors, though you may find that few Realtors are able to deal in mobile homes. If you contact a Realtor in this area, they should be able to provide you with information on homes available in these communities and the amenities available.

Fort Collins:
Sunflower Fort Collins neighborhoods and subdivisions
MacKenzie Place Retirement Communities in Colorado | Senior Living Communities | Fort Collins
Skyline Manufactured homes for rent Fort Collins, CO
Casa Grande
Rangeview

Loveland:
West Wind Village
Aspen Townhomes
Brymar Park
Country Lake Villa
Emerald Glen
Locust Park
Mirasol
Meadow Lake Park
Sunset Park
Victoria Manor
West Lake Village

Both towns have good senior centers:
Fort Collins Fort Collins Senior Center: City of Fort Collins
Loveland City of Loveland, CO : Chilson Senior Center

Good luck in your search!
Mike Weber
