Well I finally made the move from rural Oklahoma to Colorado about a month ago now. I will say that anyone debating on moving here.....Just do it. I found a nice new home to rent with ease once I got here in less than 2 weeks. I stayed in Wellington during my search in my 5th wheel. Homes here are very nice and my rent is only 1400 a month. There is anything and everything you could want here. I love how nice and clean/modern things are. And to top it off, my house is 5 mins from the canyons heading to beautiful Estes Park. Traffic can be a pain on 34 after 430, but find a larger city where it isn't...... I debated almost a year before deciding to do it......I waited a year too long. Come on up, you won't be disappointed.

Welcome to the 'old' Neighborhood, Big Thompson Alumni, and grew up within a couple miles of where U must be.

I had to flee No CO 30 yrs ago, but I am there several x/yr. I can fix you up with other Okie's in the area!

It is definitely an amazing place. I went for a drive Sunday just 2 miles west of my house and saw a heard of 150+ elk grazing in a pasture on Carter Lake Rd. It was an awesome sight for sure. Sure have enjoyed the 14" of snow that has fallen over the last few days. Seriously couldn't be happier with my decision to come up. It was the easiest transition I have ever made on a move.

Just wanted to give an update again.....I have now been here almost 4 months and things are still going very well. I have began to learn all the little short cuts in town. I found Horsetooth Resevoir which is super nice! You can rent boats for an affordable rate....although it's a bit crowded and rough water at times. I love Estes Park. Old Town is a good time in Ft. Collins and there is ALWAYS something neat going on.

I also found the Chilson Rec Center in Loveland....it is super nice.
