So my biggest concern is: is it fine for long road trip? Is there any safety concern? I will still need to drive this car for months, till getting my new car.

Thanks.
As long as you're fine if the clutch kicks the bucket during your road trip it's fine. It'll just progressively get worse until it ultimately fails. If you're not planning on keeping the car anyway I wouldn't bother fixing it. Let the next owner deal with it. It's not anything crazy difficult to replace but more labor intensive and pricier parts than a clutch on a standard transmission.

So it is fine for local short distance drive (for a few months)?

Could you tell me in plain language: why it is manual now, while it was automatic before? What does Ford dealership do?

Thanks.

Edit: I did not find clutch replacement on manual.
Hemlock didn't mean clutch replacement listed in the manual, he meant clutch replacement on a manual, meaning on a manual transmission car....which you don't have.
