2008 Ford Fusion V6 sedan
2016 Ford Explorer V6
2011 Ford Flex

2019 Nissan Pathfinder CVT V6 (although I hear the 2020 version has the automatic transmission again)

I know I should avoid the Turbocharged engines, but I hear Ecoboost engines have a water pump problem. I also know to avoid the 4 cylinder engines as small engines on large vehicles have not been perfected.

I previously had a 2013 Ford Explorer V6 Limited which had the Ecoboost V6 for a short time, but unfortunately it got rear ended on the freeway. The only problems that one had was the climate control would come on by itself, frequent battery saver mode, & short turn signal (steering wheel module).

On the vehicle description it doesn't say that these have Ecoboost.

You are kinda all over the place with those vehicles. What type of vehicle do you need?

Explorer, if you have the cash. Fusion if you don't. But I don't know if you have to haul a dog or tow a boat or what all. Explorer will eat more gas, which is rapidly rising in price.

Exactly.

My concern would be that several of these vehicles are no longer produced, which would be a concern for me long(er) term for parts and resale.

If I absolutely had to pick from this list - Explorer.

I looked at the Flex when I bought my Jeep. I also looked at the Explorer. I liked the Explorer. I had one as a work car for a while. It was 2016 with an eco boost. I turned it in with 135,000 miles on it. The main issue was a bad coil pack, new plugs and spark plug boots.

It was a dandy machine even when I turned it in.

I would choose an early Classic Bronco (66-77) and do a Cummins 4BT transplant.

Currently looking for a 57 Ford Cab for my 1st Gen Cummins 6BT

On the other end...
good friend has (3) GT40's. They're fun, but spendy to keep maintained.

I am also looking for a salvage Flex, so I can do a "Casket Wrap", complete with Grandpa Munster on the hood and a floral spray over the windows.

If I could afford - I love the 1955-56 T-Bird convertible cars.

I missed the recent Barnett-Jackson auction on TV last week. I'm sure this car sells for at least $100K in mint condition.

Auction prices topped out at about $40,000.

55-57 T-Birds have stayed in the $30,000 to $40,000 price range for quite a few years now.
