Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's, which has a tradition of social activism, has launched a new flavor called, "Yes Pecan!" to "celebrate America's opportunity for positive change."
The Vermont-based company has renamed its butter pecan flavor for the month of January to mimic the popular campaign slogan of President-elect Barack Obama, who will be sworn into office on Jan. 20.
Ben & Jerry's Launches 'Yes Pecan!' Flavor With Amber Waves Of Buttery Ice Cream, Non-Partisan Pecans | AHN | January 13, 2009 (http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7013679216 - broken link)
Heh, Ben and Jerry may be socialists but they certainly have capitalism down pat. Their ice cream is quite expensive for what it is.
not really, it's not much more expensive than Haagan-Daazs or any other premium brand of ice cream. I can always snag a pint on sale for around $3 and it's worth every penny!
I've always wondered if it was "pee-can" or "pee-cahn". I guess for this flavor to make sense, it would be the former

Um, yes, but based on their politics, wouldn't good ole Ben and Jerry have a conscience attack for producing "premium" elitist ice cream? Shouldn't "the masses" be able to easily afford their product?
I'll stick with Blue Bell ice cream. I can get a yummy half-gallon on sale for the price of a pint of the socialists' stuff.
