For those that drink non-sugar sodas (this is not a health topic or debate by the way), do you like diet or zero sugar versions of your soda?
I noticed in the past year or two that various diet soda brands have been coming out with "zero-sugar" versions. And for me, every single zero-sugar soda tastes far better than the diet version. It has a slightly sweeter taste and not too much of the aftertaste of diet.
I recently tried Zero Sugar Mountain Dew, AW Root Beer, Coke Zero, and Dr. Pepper.
I only drink sodas (colas or lemon lime) as a mixer with whiskey, so about one can a week. For a long while, I used Diet Coke, but then my husband started buying Coke Zero, so I tried it for the first time about a month ago and found that I like it more than the Diet Coke. It's sweeter and tastes more like regular Coke. I still use regular Sprite when I do lemon-lime.
So I guess my answer is I prefer the Zero sugar version better than Diet as well.
I don’t drink much soda, but when I do it is usually Coke Zero. Last week we had pizza and Diet Pepsi at Sam’s Club ($2.50, such a deal) and the Diet Pepsi was really delicious. It was fountain and nice and cold. I’m not sure it will be as good from a bottle, but I’m going to try it.
Diet Pepsi is my soda of choice. If I can't have a diet (or zero sugar) version of soda, I'll have unsweetened tea.
For ME the only difference I've noticed between zero sugar and diet, is in zero sugar coke. And I like it. It has that...kind of spicy bite to it, without the sugar...I can really taste "the cokeness" of it.
I won't drink regular soda. It leaves a yuck aftertaste in my mouth.
