There are a few things on the list I won't eat but that's a result of my not liking them or having no idea how to even get them.
Raw milk or juice - never heard of such a thing, probably wouldn't even try it if I had heard of it. If by raw juice they're talking about fresh squeezed, I get the bottled stuff they sell at the store - like the Simply Orange or Simply Grapefruit. I don't think those count.
Raw sprouts - don't like them.
Meat that isn't cooked well done - THAT I'll eat. I prefer steaks and burgers rare to medium rare, I cook pork to 145 which is safe, and I really don't eat chicken - unless I'm forced.
Prewashed or precut fruits and vegetables - won't eat them because I don't buy them - too expensive, unless you count canned cut fruit but I haven't had DelMonte fail me yet with my canned pineapple rings so I'm not worried there.
Raw or undercooked eggs - won't eat - don't like them (raw or undercooked, that is. I'll eat them if they're cooked - properly.)
Raw eggs, sure, in cookie dough and homemade mayonnaise. Have been eating both for 40+ years without ill effects so I have to say the risk of salmonella must be lower than is generally thought.
I eat cookie dough from Coldstone every nite. Ain' killed me yet. After chemotherapy a few years ago sometimes it was the only thing I could eat. I don.t recommend it for everyone though. They took out the raw eggs years ago. They buy it from Sysco, like many other retail food places.
