We had subs from Jersey Mikes today. First time. It was tasty but not worth the 16.99 for the giant sub and 9.99 for the regular sub. When my husband found out what they cost he said I would have walked out. Neither of us are very frugal but for a sandwich shop I thought is was expensive.

Yesterday went into Brooklyn at a favorite Sicilian restaurant called Joes of Ave U. We all had the rice ball special which is a rice ball mixed with meat, cheese and peas, Marinara sauce on top, fresh ricotta on top and Shaved parmesan cheese. The rice ball is the size of a soft ball. We had potato croquettes and Panella's (fried chick pea patty's) we shared a Manhattan special soda and had fresh Italian bread with butter. Yum! Today I had a ham sandwich on wheat bread with Mayo.
