I remember a frozen food line from Banquet. It was called either Cooking Bags or Boiling Bags. The meal was frozen in a plastic bag. You would cook it in boiling water for about ten minutes. Used to eat the turkey with gravy and the salisbury steak with gravy. I was too young to realize the sodium content.

We ate these all the time! We bought Freezer Queen brand though, if you remember that!

I miss Nabisco Brown Edge Wafer cookies. I also miss those little Chun King frozen egg rolls. They were the size of Jeno's pizza rolls, and came with a little packet of sauce.

Corner convenience stores that sold ice cream in the big tubs, with the cones that held 1, 2, or 3 portions. Stores with big glass jars full of crispy cookies that cost pennies.

Not sure I would buy these as an adult but as a kid I liked them
PB Maxx
Twix PB but with the regular cookie not chocolate they have now
Planters cheese balls and cheese curls
Double Chex which had both the corn and rice in one box and I think they were slightly sweet
Downy Flake waffles
I saw the pudding pops mentioned too

wow, there are so many things we don't have anymore, but they have been replaced with some great alternatives: I remember the old soda fountain in every drug and dime store. How often do you actually see banana splits mentioned anymore or root beer floats? What about phosphates. Another is double bubble gum...We also used to see fresh rabbit in the butcher shop but no more, now we see skinless chicken, boneless chicken, chicken parts, etc. You used to buy a chicken whole and cut it yourself or you bought the entire chicken already cut, but not by the piece.

nmita, I see rabbit in some local stores but it's from China...

Two things that I still miss:
Ben & Jerry's Rainforest Crunch. Their best flavour EVER, I wish they'd bring it back.
Cardini's lime dill dressing. I pretty much stopped eating salads when they took that off the market. Never been able to recreate it, either.
