If you melt down the candy corn in a double boiler on low heat and skim off the top it makes great skate wax, you can even throw in the wrappers from other stuff.
There must be 10 lbs of Halloween candy in my house -- kids hauled home tons of it, plus some leftovers from the candy bowl.
I think I'm going to make one of those brownie pizzas...that will use up some if it. Any other ideas?
Hey, I did this one year, I over estimated how many trick or treaters were going to show up and had 3 unopened bags of Halloween candy left.
I took it back to the supermarket, went to the service desk and she gave me my money back ( unopened candy bags, you understand )! Was I happy to get that money back-hey, it's worth a try.
The opened stuff?
I allow myself a couple treats a day
People did this at my office, and I guess reputation of my sweet tooth got around, because I more or less became the office candy/garbage disposal. It's great. I'm too old to go trick or treating, but yet I still get the candy, and I don't have to leave my seat or ask for it. They come find me and beg me to take it. It's like a backwards Halloween.
You can see if you can donate it charties that make care packages for the military
I like this idea! Don't know if it could be done---but why not?! Great idea. Lets give those guys and gals some goodies.
