Stopped at my fav kosher-style deli for dinner last night. DH had hot pastrami on rye w/ mustard and I had tongue on rye w/ mustard. We both had cole slaw and half sour pickles and shared a round potato knish. Yummmmm!

It's not even 6AM and way too early to think about tonight's dinner...

The banana bread I baked yesterday....the one with Meyer's Rum in it......is wonderful.....moist and extra good.....not real rummy in flavor....but the rum is a very fine addition. had two slices with creamery butter with my coffee.

That's where I found it Now I'm working on variations.
But they were so good. My wife used some shredded mixed pizza cheese in one of her's.

Now for a real devilish dinner tonight I think it will be fried fish, potato salad, with some kind of green veggie and maybe some old fashioned cornbread. Most likely Brussels sprouts as collards are out of season here and what I've seen at the market are unacceptable. There is still way to much chocolate pie to bring home a key lime, otherwise that would be a must to go with seafood. I think we are taking a little road trip over to the coast today as we haven't done so in many moons and it's about time. Fish shopping will be on the trip's agenda. Have a great Sunday all.

Stuffed bell peppers with mashed potatoes and tomatoes. Not my frozen ones--those are for winter. As long as the fresh bell peppers are such a good price and look so nice I may as well find a good use for them! It's a nice temperature here today so I am thinking about baking up some pecan oatmeal cookies. Need to use up some of the oatmeal in the cupboard and have a bag of chopped pecans so why not??!!
