Afternoon all, today I think I am going to make chicken pot pies for the family. One will go into the freezer the other for dinner tonight. Hope everyone has a good day.

Thumbs up Galupkis and chewy, fresh rye bread

I always get so hungry when I visit here!! Yummy, y'all!

Canes2006Champs, do I love salmon, but as a mom, I have to ask you to include a nice green or yellow vegetable to that menu!

I am in the process of making galupkis for the family tonight. Half to eat tonight and the other half for a "the week in review" night (i.e. leftovers)

My son has been asking for some stuffed cabbages for a couple of weeks and I finally got the cabbage, ground beef/pork, rice, tomatoes and sauerkraut here all at the same time - so tonight is the night!! Wonderful with fresh baked rye bread, with caraway seeds, please.

Oh, Gem...I'm sending DH over for galupkis. He just loves them! His first MIL was Polish and she used to make all sorts of neat stuff. I'll try them, but I'm not a big "regular" cabbage rollfan, so I'm not sure if I'd like them.

Well, before I send hubby over to Gem's house for dinner, I was going to make roast beast w/gravy, red potatoes w/ the skin on, brussel sprouts, sliced fresh tomato and cuke, pickles and olives with fruit salad for dessert. We're trying to shed a few pounds at our house, so I might pass on the gravy. Maybe just one little bit of potato w/ just a smidge of gravy. And lots of b-sprouts and fruit.

Dont worry, my mom will probably include carrots or green beans or a salad to go along with it.

Thank you for the warm welcomes.

I am embarrassed to say, tonight I am serving DH canned chili because I am in the mood for Chinese-style spare ribs and he isn't a bone picker.

To all who are under the weather: I wish you a speedy recovery.
