axinomo- Good luck. I am also trying to lose the "winter weight". I started 2 weeks ago and it is slow.

mth- After that bread pudding it sounds like your DH needs to give you a treat.

mth and cyn- Looks like some of us will be adding healthy foods to our "what's for dinner".

kelsie- Stuffed flounder sounds fantastic. How is your hubby?

vpcats- Glad to see you back.

Has anyone heard from Kat. Is she back from the cabin?

I decided on a veggie burger for dinner with veggies on the side.

I used the Easy Off Cool stuff and it says you can use it with a self-cleaning oven, but I do think that when I moved in here that the woman said the self-cleaner didn't work properly so...I did it the hard way and when this oven dies, you can BET I will be getting a new one the cleans and scrubs itself!

That's what my script was for, so I just bought a 28 supply pk for $15. until I get the home delivered ones. It will be $15. for a 90 day supply of the generic.

Going to get baby shower #2 invites tonight with #2 dd. Looking forward to being done with the showers! One down and one to go.

I think I will attempt my stir fry tonight. With rice. I haven't done one in a while so here's hoping...

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

All this talk about acid reflux and this is what my Dr just told me he thinks I have so he gave me a sample of Nexium and then I went out and bought some of CVS generic. They had it on sale, buy a big package and get a small one free. But this kind you only take for 14 days and then again in 3 months if needed for another 14 days. This is all new to me but Amber has been suffering from it for some time now. Wonder why it seems so many are suffering from this???

Cyn, I swear there's a "disease of the month" where doctors tell everyone who walks thru the door "You have ____________!" Fill in blank w/DOM. For a while, it was acid reflux, then overactive bladder, then rotator cuff tear, now we're back to Acid reflux I guess.

I've steamed it in water before but never beer. I will be trying that soon. Thanks.

Domino's Pizza tonight for DD. Raising $$ for the school. I can't stand Domino's so Ceaser Salad with the leftover chicken thighs. Hopefully they won't taste so greasy cold.

Guess I'll just stay out of the Dr.s office then!
Unbelievable how much money the Big Pharmas are making! I am pretty upset at funding them to be honest. How in the world did our grandparents do it---with no medications and such??? No side effects from the medications that ment more medications to take care of the side effects?????? Kinda scary really.

I set out to make that "Divine Lemon Nectar Cake" but I ended up having to improvise.....I made a mistake and bought yellow cake instead of the lemon supreme cake mix ..... and then the store didnt have any apricot nectar....so I bought something called an odwall smoothie in a peach and orange flavor....I made the cake as directed for the lemon nectar cake, except added an additional egg (4) and cooked it in a bundt pan.....it looks great and smells great....of course its not lemon! Oh well, its "elston's divine peachie-orange smoothie cake".
