Oh I am exhausted... just got back from a full day of window shopping for a new stove/oven. I am torn. I have a love/hate relationship with my glasstop right now. I am toying with buying one with the burners instead. It is such a chore. I can't stand buying new appliances.

DINNER tonight will be an easy microwavable meal of... brussel sprouts, and cajun corn... some Veggie Burgers on Wheat Wt Watchers Buns (because they are only 2pts) topped with BBQ sauce and since my STOVE still works some stir fried\ Green Peppers / onions/ mushrooms/ hot peppers /sliced tomatoes /lettuce, and a side salad.

skbs, I wouldn't go back to burners for love nor money. I adore my glass top. Plus it has twin ovens, and one is a convection. Yeh, baby!

Seriously....I haven't found a good one anywhere around here.
Tons of Italian places though, and if they would ever consider selling Challah, I would expect it to taste like pizza dough.....LOL.

The best ones I have ever eaten were in Germany (seriously!) and in NY (when I lived in Pennsylvania).

I do consider myself a halfway decent baker, and I think, I will tackle baking a challah myself next.

Sigh....I use to have gas and boy do I miss it! Never have cooked with convection but would love to try it. I have the glass top and it's just ok---hard to keep looking great--course I had to have black!! Only gas here is propane......I'd even take that now!

And yes, Amber did know better then to mess my kitchen up!!! Her room, her bathroom--I could deal with that but don't even mess up my kitchen. Even today her kitchen is spotless! She did turn out to be a good daughter, wife and mama!!

I am keeping it simple tonight...still not sure but either fish and chips or burritos! Guess I'll know in an hour or so.....Ha!

We didn't eat the chicken last night, DH wasn't hungry, so I had a Florentine Ravioli Smart One dinner. Don't bother. Ick.

I wanted to do something different with the chicken, so I found a recipe in one of those Kraft magazines they send out every 3-4 months. It sure smells and looks good. 4 pcs. of chicken, 4 large potatoes, cut into wedges. Put into 13x9 pan (I put alum. foil over the pan so it would be easier to clean up). Pour 1/4 cup Italian dressing (I used Good Seasons made w/red wine vinegar and added a bit more) and 1/4 cup grated parmesan (I used fresh). It looked a bit "white" if ya know what I mean, so I sprinkled some paprika on it all. I'll let y'all know how it turns out.
