I don't buy bagged salads, think they're pretty awful. I do have a weakness for boxed organic baby spinach though.. so I'm still taking my chances!

I don't buy the bagged salads, but I do buy the boxed organic mixes. I also buy organic romaine hearts in the bag. Any problems with any of those?

Those bagged salads are nasty. They always seem slimy and smell funny to me.

Are we talking bagged SALADS? or bagged LETTUCE? I buy bagged lettuce mixes all the time, preferably Spring Mix or Fresh Greens. i never buy the bagged salads, that have croutons, dressing, whatever. I eat a salad every day for lunch, and I pack them all on Saturday or Sunday for the week. I just keep dressing at work. I decided years ago they were just too darn convenient, and I have ALWAYS had issues with having to wash my lettuce first, I can never get it dry enough afterwards, and my salad ends up with water on the bottom.

Try using a salad spinner, they are wonderful!
