New York City Burger King lovers should schedule an appointment with their cardiologist, because the BK Whopper Bar has arrived in Times Square.

The restaurant's been flame broiling burgers for about two weeks, and on Tuesday, members of the press were invited to try some of the King's latest creations.

It's probably just me, but it sure seems like every 47 seconds the BK Lounge is "introducing" some new menu item - it sure seems they can never stick with a theme/direction and go with it.

I know chains are always tweaking the menus but I swear BK goes at it at hyper-speed (ludicrous speed)!

Again - it's probably just me.

Good point. Look at this way, they're in south beach, NYC, and other high end areas. How much must rent be and how many burgers do they have to sell to pay the bills? I don't think the goal of the whopper bar is actually to be profitable, more a BK advertising gimmick. Their goal is probably to steal tourists away from high end restaurants in hopes of when they return home, they'll subconsciously pick their local BK over Wendys or McDonalds. So BK whopper bars need to keep their menu changing to get tourists in the door.
