I work there so I am somewhat partial to it. It is special to me because that is where I got the biggest break of my life. It is a county with approximately 28,000 people. It is very rural, lots of farms/cattle, orange groves, ect. The people tend to be pretty nice and laid back. The county has a significant country/southern style to it. I'm not sure if you like that or not. Hunting, fishing, ect. is very big in the county. The economy is currently not doing well and it is hard to find jobs at this time.

Cities:

Wauchula: Population: 4,500 (Estimated)
Bowling Green: Population: 3,000 (Estimated)
Zolfo Springs: Population: 1,641 (Estimated)

The rest of the residents live in unincorporated areas of the county.

Wauchula is the county seat and where the majority of stores/shops, restaurants, hotels, and infastructure is. Bowling Green and Zolfo Springs are primarily residential. If you like large metro areas, lots of entertainment, lots of shopping/restaurants, fast paced lifestyle, ect. you will hate it here.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

I totally forgot about Hardee C.I. I have a few friends that work there and it is a large employer. Not bad pay for the area.
