I know that many members are small business owners, is the business holding steady or is too large of a risk?

Small companies play an especially big role in construction, along with services as varied as death care, machinery repair and religious activities.

But a sector-to-sector look using the North American Classification System found a number of industries where small businesses -- those with fewer than 500 employees -- contribute a larger-than-average share to U.S. GDP. They are:

Construction: 85 percent.

Other services (from dating to funerals): 85 percent.

Arts and entertainment: 75 percent.

Professional and technical services: 70 percent

Lodging and food service: 58 percent

Health and social services: 56 percent.

Do you have what it takes to become a millionaire? getyour own business...

Yeah! that's the way to go nowdays. With this Global economy taking over:
jobs being outsourced overseas, employers requiring more and more from employees. You are better off starting your own business.
A few years ago I talked with a small buiness owner, someone who worked for a corporation for 15 years and got laid off.
this is exactely what he said:" I would rather work 14 hours a day for myself than 8 hours for a corp."
I did check with him a few weeks ago and he is doing just fine. moved from one location to two locations. in case you wonder what type of business:
Mexican Food.
