4 year degree, 10 years customer service experience, 1.5 call center experience, 1 year management experience. What companies should I be looking at in Florida to get good pay, benefits and raise my family.

Someone said on here Geico in Lakeland does not pay well. It is so hard here in Upstate NY to get a good job here as market is flooded with people laid off
from Kodak. I'm looking at Florida, because I love it there. What companies if anyone is familiar with should I be targeting and where are they located? I've looked at Monster, Hotjobs and don't see too many good jobs on here. Thanks for all your assistance. God BLess.

Your career path sounds just like mine. Except now I am a SAHM.

I had a great job in miramar at Carnival Cruise Lines, personal vacation planner. It was a sales job making 40-80+k a year. There is room to grow, within a year I was offered a managment position.

Also JM family is a great place to work, great benefits!

Motorola and American Express have large places in Broward county employing a few thousand people.

There's plenty of job opportunities in all of FL, Suggest you cheCk link below which is the site for the Tampa Tribune, local newspaper , for local jobs. Verizon is located in Hillsborough Ave, (the call center)It is a good company to work for, with a BA you could apply for a job in sales in Verizon Wireless, which would pay more than at the call center.

What exactly are you looking to do here? Insurance? Marketing? What's your degree major? So many variables, it's hard to help you. Narrow your priorities and you'll have TONS of advice

Verizon Wireless pays nothing, compared to Verizon Communications (Land Line Company, Old GTE) they are union. So you get paid a lot better. dont take my word check out both.

I've said b4 that a high school diploma from the north east is like a 4 year degree in Florida. So I think you'd be qualified to do brain surgury ..

Let me know when you get here. I need a good doc..

You seem to have a lot of repetitive threads on this - I just answered your Northport thread - this is a minimum wage area. You need a big city like Tampa for a decent job. Good luck!

I don't agree with that. Being that most of the people in Florida are transplants from the North that makes the competition just as tough here.
