Are there any beaches that have a vibe comparable to Venice beach boardwalk in California? Crowds of locals and tourists, young people, freaks, innovators, eccentrics, music, art, and so on? Busy feel with exciting energy?

Is this a real question?

Actually, the answer is no.
Venice Beach is much more hippy/alternative lifestyles than anywhere in FL.

Hollywood beach is mostly Canadian/LatAM tourists and retirees. There's no eccentrics, innovators, artists, etc. Not even close. Very "Margaritaville" vibe. Nothing wrong with that, but nowhere in FL is like Venice.

Key West has that feel around Mallory Square which is not a beach, but very close.

If you want to see unusual people, doing unusual stuff, along a beach, Florida has "Drum Circles" for that.

The one on Siesta Key Beach is entertaining to do every now, and again....Sunday's before dark if I recall.

You don't think Key West has that vibe? Okay, not a beach per say, but as Kyle mentioned, Mallory Square is quite close.

Seriously? Have you ever been to Venice Beach?

Mallory Square is almost opposite of it.

Venice Beach CA is full of homeless people camped on the beach and has a more gritty look to it than most Florida beaches. Maybe Daytona Beach is comparable from a looks standpoint. California in general is a strange spit between extreme wealth and extreme poverty.
