....in Sarasota.

My husband and I are relocating from Central New Jersey and we were in Sarasota this past weekend and can't wait to move there!

We have two boys, Joe 17 and John 11 - I promised them we would move into a community with kids they can walk to play with. I am just wondering if anyone is familiar with this particular community and if you thought there would be kids close to our boys' ages.

Thanks in advance

Carol

All i know about Misty Creek, is it's a private Golf Course, probably expensive. Sorry couldn't help much here. I don't play golf )
17 year old is not a kid, and i doubt you'll find alot of kids in such communities. However....
I live in neighborhood on the public golf course, and we have no kids. All my son's friends (17 as well) live elsewhere. Go figure.

Well my 17 year will be driving by the time we get down to Florida so I am not concerned about him as I am about my 11 year old.

Did not live in Misty Creek, but have been there. It's at the edge of several other newer subdivisions. Yes, there are children there. It's a mixture of all ages. It also is kind of at the edge of everything. A few years ago someone wanted to put in a retail section in that area, but the majority of homeowners in all those subdivisions out that way protested, and it has not been built. It's a drive to get back to Sarasota for groceries, gas, activities, etc. but the folks out there seem to like it that way. Driving east away from town and you are in wide open spaces. Nothing especially special about the subdivision. It appears like any other of the many located in/around Sarasota.
