You can get insurance,it most probably will be through Citizens Insurance.
Just call an insurance agent and get a quote.

Citizens will probably be the only choice and sinkhole coverage will probably be mandatory.

I know someone in Dunedin who had a small sinkhole in their yard filled. The following year they were dropped by their insurance and had to go to Citizen's. Apparently, their insurance tripled. Personally, I would avoid a house that has a sinkhole history. Just because one was repaired doesn't mean another one won't open close by.

I was thinking the same thing, deck. Too many houses to pick from to deal with that history. Unless it's a ridic. low price.

Called insurance agent. He told me. If repair were made that exceded eighty percent of house value. Citizen will not provide any insurance

Let me get this straight, a person has a sinkhole, citizens say fit it, you then fix it, say the repairs are 182,000 and home is 100,000, then you can't get insurance on home, they will drop you? Then why repair the sinkhole? At least with unrepaired you still have coverage, repaired there is none.

There is a class action lawsuit being filed today against Citizens, for over valuing customers homes, can't wait to see how that plays out. Citizens is nothing up a big rip off........
