I've heard Volusia County on the Atlantic side. Is the Space Coast in Volusia County?

LOL: the LACK of surf is exactly what I like about Florida. Makes it more amenable to swimming.

1. Surfing is good at New Smyrna inlet---but seems to be more shark bites...Daytona Beach itself for surfing-not really but go down to Ponce Inlet and it is better....... maybe because it is just really pretty around the Lighthouse down there, but I love that area....

2. Space coast is in Brevard County and surfing is probably best here at Cocoa Beach and down at Sebastian Inlet......

3. That said.....any storm out on the ocean from August-Dec. can bring better surf as it passes by, even if it stays out in the ocean a few hundred miles. So you go where the waves are....can be hitting different just miles up the beach.....
