Ethanol is actually more expensive right now here in the Midwest than regular unleaded. ($2.58 for unleaded, $2.68 for the Ethanol blend.) As I understand it, there was a tax credit on Ethanol blends in Iowa that expired in July, and now the prices are higher.

Fuel taxes. GA & SC have some of the lowest fuel taxes in the country. FL voters have added .01/gal tax here and there to pay for schools, roads, etc. on top of county and state fuel tax.

The Price in South Eastern Kentucky $2.53 Gal today. I have not seen anyone with a Ethanol Blend. I would be glad to pay an extra .10 per gal for it. Every gal of Ethanol Blend we can use is a big help to farmers in our country who raise corn.

They are putting in an Ethanol plant here. So far there is only one station that sells it. The city/county buys it, and a lot of biodiesel.
