If you don't like tropical weather (heat and humdity) stop thinking about it now. The weather is the #1 complaint of transplants.

Everything else is subject to change over the next few years so I won't even mention anything else. Most of everything else is a National problem nad not a FL problem.

Do lots and lots of research on everything from demographics to geology.

I mostly grew up in the St Pete area, when it was time to get a job i couldnt find anything better than minimum wage so ultimately got some good jobs in Montreal,(Dual Citizenship eh) on subsequent returns to Florida minimum wage seemed to be all that i could get so back to Montreal, now that i'm retired and living on a substantial union pension i find on my trips back to Florida are very enjoyable if i schedule them in Dec.-Jan as i seem to have developed an intolerance to heat and humidity
For some Florida can be a paradise to others it can be hell, i'd suggest a few trips down to the Sunshine state to see whether you like it or not.
