So ive been looking around in CA for homes but they are extremely pricey for my budget

FL however is very affordable for 300k

ive been looking into Tampa but im not sure

i dont want anywhere near Miami, and somewhere in the Bay area so theres not many Hurricanes

i would really like if:
1) Family friendly area
2) good school ratings,
3)some small shopping areas, but not overcrowded but not all country ville
4) near ocean
5) More democrats if thats possible, i dont mind republicans or any of them but my husband is extremely liberal so. (personally politics sucks no matter how you look at it but whatever)

so if that could be possible thank you very much

1. what's your employment situation

2. Hurricanes can happen anywhere and cause damage even in inland areas, though the lowest probability of canes is in greater Jacksonville.

You might want to check out a career at one of the Nemours located in Jacksonville or Pensacola. There will also be one opening In Orlando in 2012.

Also Baptist Medical Hospital in Jacksonville.

Baptist Health of Northeast Florida - Baptist Health Jacksonville and Northeast Florida - Welcome

Wolfson Children's hospital in Jacksonville has a level II NICU can take care of babies born with a higher acuity than is provided in a newborn nursery. Babies requiring ventilation, surgery or who have other, more critical needs are transferred to Wolfson Children's Hospital's Level III NICU.

This hospital saved my daughter's life as a newborn.

Visiting a Wolfson Children's Hospital Patient

I know of people that travel from smaller towns to go to Baptist Health Care in Pensacola.

Gulfbreeze is right outside Pensacola and has some excellent schools and might be more affordable. I think housing is more expensive in Jacksonville, especially on the east side and in Orange Park and Madarin.
