What I've been saying for some time-the Florida legislature is one of the most corrupt political bodies on Earth.

Grand jury calls for reform, citing pervasive government corruption - St. Petersburg Times

I like the part that says "The public is tired of officials who abuse their position or ignore conflicts of interest".

Apparently not. Incumbents get re-elected 90% of the time.
But hey, at least our taxes are low!

As opposed to the corruption in liberal meccas like Chicago, CA, NY or NJ where your taxes are high?

If I am going to live in a corrupt state, at least let my wallet get raped as little as possible.

Personally, I would take high taxes and a job as opposed to low taxes and no job like is so prevalent in FL these days.

Hint: Places like MI and CA have both high taxes and similar UE rates to FL (in some cases, worse, particularly in CA)

I agree with this 100%. I hear all the time that I am going back to Massachusetts(formerly taxachusetts), and I will pay more for this and that Well the COL is the same for me there as here. Rents are the same as here, food is equal or cheaper, gas is the same, electric is cheaper except the winter I will pay for heat(just like I pay for AC).

Unemployment is 8.2%. No corrupt city/state leaders like here. Taxes.... I will for sure pay more to live where I will be happier...
