Hello folks.
Up here it is a nice day, cloudy, low 20's and light flurries to add to our 8-10 inches of snow. House is now quiet, and to get my Florida fix I'm watching the Disney Christmas parade. With the good chance this may be our last northern Christmas, I'm enjoying the unique things about Christmas in snow country. Working a bit of OT tonight at the firehouse.

So, as today is Christmas, what is your favorite Christmas song(s)?

I think my favorite is O Holy Night......but there are so many good ones!

A newer song that is my ALL TIME favorite is "Mary, did you Know". I could play it all year, and it brings tears to my eyes every time. I really like Kathy Mattea's version.

Mercy Me came out with another beautiful song called "God with Us". Very powerful.

Silent Night is right up there also. I love going to candlelite services and singing this as the sanctuary changes from darkness to light, all from candles.....

Hard to believe we start a new year next week!
Enjoy.....

Frank

I tend to be super traditional- hate almost everything written after 1900. One of my few exceptions to that general dislike of modern Christmas music is "Christmas in Hollis" because it just cracks me up.

Handel's Messiah. All of it, really. I haven't heard it performed in years.
