We'll be traveling to the GC in May and stopping in Sedona for a couple nights. I've heard it's a fun place to visit, but now I'm not sure what we'll do there. What do you recommend doing there? We'll have our 9 month old baby with us. Do people go there for the hiking? Or something else? We'll be hiking at the GC, so I don't want to do that the whole time in Sedona, but 1 short hike would be an option. What else is there--that's baby friendly (ie. no pink jeep tours)?

The baby might make it tricky, and then depending on what part of May, it oculd be really hot during the day.

People come here to hike (but hiking with a 9 month old might not be safe), look at the scenery, go on jeep tours, visit ruins, shop, dine out etc.

See my answers to the recent post on Cottonwood. I sugest a trip to Jerome, Cottonwood, Clarkdale and possibly Camp Verde (depending on what's going on). You must walk around uptown Sedona and eat somewhere with incredible views. It's a great place to watch a full moon rise.

Maybe check out the scenic drive through the Oak Creek Canyon (which is not to be confused with the Village of Oak Creek which is really a part of Sedona). Go up to Flagstaff and visit Route 66 and see the San Francisco Peaks.

Another big reason people come here is for the metaphysical scene - energy and vortexes, sacred spots, crystal shops etc. For some, that's the main reason but if it's not your bag, then just ignore it.

Feel free to dm me with any questions you may have.
