Hello, I have been trying to find an Indian grocery store online, but couldnt find any listed. I will be moving to flagstaff soon from Detroit and was wondering whether there are any Asian Indian grocery stores.

I did find a Indian restaurant, Delhi Palace, so I guess thats good.

Also, does anyone know if there is an Indian temple in the area too, I did find a few in Phoenix ?

thanks,

Cooks

I could be wrong but I doubt you'll find an Asian grocery store or Indian temple in Flag., I live nearby and visit there frequently and have never heard of any.

I agree with adventuregurl. Neither are known to me in the 13 years that I have been here in Flagstaff.

ok so there are none in the area. I guess will have to drive to Phoenix for basic groceries. During winter time are the roads usually full of snow, what are the driving conditions like from Flagstaff to Phoenix during winter?

Why not order non-perishables online and have it delivered?

There just isn't the demand (or Asian population) for it.

Once a month might be doable (on a day without any storms predicted) but it's a very loooong way to go to get groceries. It'll take you around 3 hours each way, some people will say less but check mapquest to the exact address you're going to and I bet it's the better part of 3 hours to get there.

It is pretty strange that there are no Asian/Indian groceries in all of Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff which has a lot of Asian/Indian students at NAU.

There was one Asian grocery years ago downtown Flagstaff (10-12?) owned by the same guy who owns both Collins Pub and Monsoon Restaurant, but he closed it down for reasons I'm unaware of.
