Any feedback on Catholic Churches or Schools in NWA? From what I have read, this area is predominantly Protestant but I know there are some of you out there who are Catholic! This is so important to us for our move so any information you could provide on this topic would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!!!

Here are the Catholic Churches/schools I know of in the area

St. Joseph's- Fayetteville
St. Raphael's-Springdale
St. Vincent Depaul- Rogers

I can't give you many details as far as cirriculum or tuition rates, as we are public school Episcopalians. However, I know that St. Joe's and St.Vincent's have wonderful reputations. St. Raphael's is quite new- I actually looked into enrolling my daughter in their school. The directors seemed wonderful and because it was new the tuition was very reasonable. It might not stay that way as the school gains reputation-but last year it was.

You might also check out their web pages.

You should also know that there is currently no Catholic high school in NWA. There is a committee formed that is investigating the feasibility, and the Church owns land in Lowell in case a high school is given the go-ahead.

Actually the opening of St. Raphael in Springdale was a step in the direction of the regional high school as it would provide another feeder school to help populate the high school. With there being few private school options in the area, IMO a Catholic high school would do well here.
