I have a few pairs of sandals that are oh so cute but they tend to have a slick insole so they feel like they slip around too much. Is there something that helps them feel a little less so, so I may wear them without feeling like my foot is slipping?

There are anti-slip pads for sale that will keep your feet from slipping.

I have used these:

Amazon.com: Non-Slip Grip Pads for High Heel Shoes, Boots and Sandals: Shoes

Fabric medical tape. If your foot is covered enough you can wrap it. (good for peep toe shoes too). They make moleskin inserts too. I always had to superglue them to keep them sticking.

You can buy moleskin in roll form. That way it can be cut to fit just about anyshoe. I think it has more sticking power than the PRECUT stuff. Hope that helps.
