I have one I use every day. It's a beautiful deep red, well-made, the perfect size, and goes with everything. It's two or three years old now, though (my sister gave it to me for Christmas, but I forget which one), and getting sort of faded. I'll buy myself a new one within the next six months.
I have two or three other bags that I never use. I don't like moving my stuff around; invariably my powder or checkbook or good pen is in the wrong purse.
I do love pretty bags. Maybe someday I'll have a bunch of them. :sigh:
4 large leather ones, 1 small leather one, and that one from TV (WalMart actually) that's supposed to hold a zillion things, yeah. I didn't take it back, it's nice as a small purse.
I own one purse. It's a couple of years old, still in good shape, and I will continue to use it until it either falls apart or gets unacceptably shabby. That'll probably be in another year or two.
Too many to count. I used to collect and wear vintage. I have everything from early 1900's German and French needlpoint, to 30's and 40's box purses, evening clutches in velvet and satin and metal mesh, and 1950's ladylike clutches and satchels in alligator (?) and patent leather. In fact, if anyone needs an evening bag, DM me. I'm not really looking to sell, but I feel kind of bad because they pretty much sit in storage these days.
It's sad because I don't really use purses anymore . I have a tiny little Coach bag that holds a cell phone and keys and debit card and I use roomier (and bombproof) messenger bags when I am on my bike. I use tote bags (freebies) often too.
Eight or nine leather bags I have had forever and three or four colorful totes for travel and shopping. These bags I do use regularly and will always have them. Some are 25+ years old.
One or two evening bags that I haven't seen for years...LOL
That brings me to the back of my closet where I know three or four vintage Dooney's are hiding - I don't know what to do with them.
I don't actually know, but I think it suffices to say that when I moved, I filled three walk-in closets with handbags (and shoes/clothing).
