I have my brows, upper lip and chin threaded. That is ok. Want to grow my brows out a bit to make thicker. Make the mistake of having side of face. I broke out and it made my Rosacea worse. My sides feel rough and sticky.

I pluck my brows at home (myself). Every 4-5 days.
It's cheaper and easy to do. The only thing I will have another person touch is my hair, but nothing else. Just haircuts, trims, haircoloring, and styling I leave to the professionals.
I can do my own brows, my own makeup, and my own manicure/pedicure. The last time I had a "so called" makeup artist put makeup on me, she made me look like a clown (way too much eyeliner, too much eyeshadow, and the lipstick was way too dark). No way will anyone else put makeup on me anymore!!
I go to a salon to have them waxed/weed wacked. My brows have always been in the hairier than Brooke Shields category so unless I want to spend 3 hours tweezing it's best to have them waxed at once with minimal pain for a few minutes.
I have a 10x maginifying mirror to tweeze my brows. I can't stand having them waxed because it takes the top layer of skin off, my eyes are puffy....no thanks!
Do that many women really do stuff to their eyebrows?
It has never once occurred to me to do a single thing to them. Sometimes my cat licks them. That's about it.
Yes, many do. You may have noticed, women are constantly bombarded with messages that the way their appearances are naturally is no good, and they must be altered.
I've never plucked, waxed, or done anything with my brows. Ever. I'm lucky that they're appropriately sized and that there's not many "stray" hairs.
