I have the one of the original 'Slanket' types. I use it almost every evening to cuddle in while I'm watching TV. I can read my book or magazine and have my glass of wine and stay covered.
I crack up when I see that commercial for them - the people look like devil worshippers from an old 70s movie with those snuggies on - kinda scary - good thing they dont come in black
They DO come in black...heh heh heh.
But from another source and for a great deal more.
I'm going to get the snuglet(te) for my daughter. Just came out with a smaller version.
I see the point to them because my house is freezing (kid you not) and my robe is used for bathing purposes...and just not that warm. Throws...annoy me. So when better colors come along, I'll be the next goober to order.
I made 4 of these this last Christmas. One for me, my husband, my mother and my mother-in-law. They are very easy to make and I was able to make them out of fabric that we liked..
I do not have one, but I want one... I sit with a blanket too but they always fall off my shoulders. I'd never wear it out of the house but I sure want one for in the house! Bill Maher was making fun of the snuggie. I'm still laughing... check this out

I love my "snuggly" - I put it on when I'm on the computer at night or reading. I don't wear it the way they do on TV. I am 5'7 and I have to pick it up when I walk too!
We bought one for our son as a gag gift and he loves that thing!!! I've always put my sweaters on backwards while on an airplane, etc., and have always put my bathrobe on backwards while watching TV so I could have my hands free, yet curl up under the rest of the robe and keep my feet warm. Sometimes I use my son's Snuggie if he leaves it laying around.
