I am looking for some new skin care products for my face, mostly cleansers, moisturizers with sunblock and anti-wrinkle creams. I have combination skin--oily T-zone and dry everywhere else, with an occasional pimple. I've used a variety of products in the past and haven't been really thrilled with any of them, except for Laura Mercier which is okay.

I've heard from a couple of women how great Shiseido products are. Before investing in these, I thought I'd get some feedback about them. Have you ever tried Shiseido? What was your experience like? Which products do you recommend?

If you'd like to recommend any other product lines, feel free to do so.

Thanks.

the only thing I have use from them are their Oil Blotting Tissues. they work great, and I also have a sample of their Deep Cleansing Oil. it removes makeup nicely! They are a little more expensive, but I have always heard that they are great products.

Thanks sportsfangal.

The products are expensive, so I'd hate to buy them and then wind up disappointed. Does anyone else have any feedback?

I love Shiseido. I highly recommend it. I've used their hydro-powder eye shadow and it's awesome. I've also used their mascara (the volume enhancing one), loose powder foundation, pre-makeup creme (a GREAT thing, haha), concealer (lasts forever and works great), and their hand cream all of which work awesome. I highly recommend it.

<--- Frugal, sticks to L'Oreal, or Mac products. haaa !! And, uses Oil Of Olay or Aveeno on the skin. Chaaa-ching, more $$ in my wallet.

You girls should check out the website, "Makeup alley" !!!

It is a yellow based product. Depending on what you need that could look bad on you. Most women are yellow toned but yellow on pink toned will make you orange. So do test it in person.

Pitt, regarding the tone, are you referring to the face creams or make-up? I'm only interested in the lotions/creams and cleansers. These don't have any tint, so that shouldn't be an issue. I guess I'll try to get some samples before committing.

Curlybelle, I'd love to find an inexpensive regimen that works for me, but so far all the ones I've tried leave a lot to be desired--usually too greasy, not moist enough, or make me break out. (

Thanks.

The make-up...just in case you are tempted.
The prices are not too bad and the packaging is cute. LOL

I have always loved biore washes because they clean without drying me out. One of the penny pinching tips I read is to geta cheaper face wash. But spend your money on good foundations/face creams. But watch the face creams too because you may find a better value elsewhere.

Have you ever tried the Bliss line? I like that one quite a bit too. They have a youthful complexion set for 68 $
Bliss N.Y.C. (Newly Youthful Complexion) Set - Skin care - Beauty - Macy's

You may find it cheaper elsewhere so HUNT!

But read the reviews on the bliss anti-age line. I also like the bliss peeling groovy serum.

What I like about is that my skin didnt blister or get red..I dont know what they put in some anti-age stuff but I really react to it. Olay is one of them. Which totally ticks me off because I love how it worked for a few days until I blistered from it. It was a pretty opal like cream too. POO!

Good luck!

Shiseido is G R E A T. I have oily skin and I'm old ha ha ha and I use the benefiance creamy cleanser. It's so great. It leaves your skin clean and moisturized NOT slimy like the cheap products that claim to moisturize skin. Your skin feels clean and naturally soft. The pureness line also has the BEST blotting tissues. ALSO, the makeup girl told me that my skin looks great. She notices that alot of women who use shiseido products have wonderful skin. Ha ha ha
