Are you familiar with this line of cosmetics? Are they much better than anything out there or is it just a fad. Are they priced like others or more expensive, and if they cost more would you still purchase it in a tight economy. I'm looking as an investment opportunity and wanted opinions from potential customers.
I use BE..I think it is more pricey then other brands...I am not sure though because I am so happy with BE I will not buy anything else. I love their make-up and will not use anything else...Unless if I am in a real pinch...ie ran out of something and need it ASAP...
Bare Escentuals has been around for a long time - at least 15 years, probably longer. Great product. I love their Bare Minerals line. A bit pricier than drugstore cosmetics but not over the top. I will continue to use their products even in tight times. Their stuff lasts a long time. Good Luck!
Did not work well for my skin. Gave me a very "chalky" appearance (I am very fair) and breakouts. Luckily, I bought the set at Sephora and they took it back with a refund.

If you are talking about opening up a boutique you should know it is a very popular brand. I think it is one of the most popular brands at Sephora right now.

I was not aware it had been out for 15 years...good info!
The company behind BE mineral makeup has been around since 1976. Leslie Blodgett, the current CEO, launched the BE mineral makeup line in 1994 and took it to QVC in around 97.
While BE is probably the most widely known mineral makeup, thanks to QVC and all the infomercials, there are a lot of other mineral makeup lines. Jane Iredale is quite popular with Dermatologists and spas. My favorite mineral makeup is Aromaleigh.
There are two common complaints about BE mineral makeup. One, is that it's shiny. Mineral veil is supposed to tone down the shine but it's still a problem for some women. Also, some women complain of itching, especially in very hot weather. The itching and the shine are both caused by the same ingredient, Bismuth Oxychloride.
Brands such as Aromaleigh do not use Bismuth Oxychloride and usually provide a more matte finish with no itch.
If you're going to look into mineral makeup, be sure to read the ingredients. Some of the major cosmetics companies have jumped on the mineral bandwagon by introducing their own versions. Be careful of those. If you see talc listed as an ingredient, you're getting a cheap filler. Real mineral makeup does not contain talc.
My wife tried it about 9 months ago and now swears by it... she won't tell me what it costs and I won't ask...
